Fancy is back
Panamá is a really cool place, and i found that i actually enjoyed the people a little more there than in some parts of the carribean of Costa Rica. Yesterday in Bocca del Torro, Liz and i went on a tour to see the different islands that make up Bocca. The tour guide said that we would see many beautiful beaches and experince the wild life around here. It was an all day thing and considering it was only 15 bucks i was all about it.... That is until i realized the experiencing the wild life ment going dolphin watching for 2 hours. I kinda hate that shit but hey...it was pretty. After looking for flipper and taking a nap on the boat ..we
had gone out the night before and were pretty exhausted.... we then went star fish watching.Great now im looking for Carls Jr´s little brother...Finally when that came to an end we went to lunch and made our way to Red Frog beach. We had heard this place was very pretty but after the begining of the tour i wasnt so sure it was going to be what they had made it out to be. Well we arrived to this little island with yachts on the docs. We then hiked about 10 minutes through the jungle along this rocky path. Finally we could see an end to the path and there was some light brown sand. The view was breath taking. It was like a scene from a movie in Cast Away or somethign. Nothing but clear blue crystal water and small waves crashing on the shore. Waist deep in the water you could easily see your toes wiggling into the sand. Finally we had reached the destination I had long been waiting for. Of course at this momement my camera died by lack of battery juice so the pictures have been strongly engraved into my head. We played and floated around in the waves for a couple of hours. Then tired from a long day liz and i sat on the sand and let the water wash up onto us as each wave came in. There was little said between us most the time. I think the setting was just a little too pretty for words. During this time i was able to do a lot of reflecting upon myself, my life now and where i would like to take it. This trip has been a great reminder that there is much more to the world than just a 9-5. I have always enjoyed cultures of other travelers and learining about different people however i must have forgotten how much because it has been so long since i had expericed being somewhere novel to home. I am not ready to go home yet but plan on coming home smiling - that is definate. I have no doubt that i will be returning to costa rica in the near future to travel the parts that there was not enough time to see. I am also excited to return home because i have been able to make some decisions during my time of travel that i feel will help bring me to where i want to be at this point in my life....
Thank you all for caring to check in on my random blogs as I´ve been out on my travels. Oh yeah and Fancy was the name of my superman curl that kept forming when it rained. A Swiss travler and i were laughing all evening about it yesterday =D
Lots of love - Gema and Liz
